Come celebrate Canada Day 2014 in the Old Port of Montreal.
There will be a host of free activities that will appeal to the whole family.

This event is also made possible thanks to the financial help of the Ministry of Canadian Heritage.

Brief activity descriptions

Official Ceremony and Brass Band

11 am to 12 pm

Ceremony and Military Band

New Canadians will be sworn in at an official ceremony. The Canadian Armed Forces military band will oversee the raising of the flag while playing the national anthem. A member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will ensure the smooth running of the event.

Canada Day Cake

12 pm until the last piece

Canada Day Cake

New Canadians and all those present will be invited to taste the traditional Canada day cake.

Gun salute

12 pm to 1:30 pm

Cannon Salute

A 21-cannon salute in honor of Canada's Birthday.

Chapiteau of Activities

12 pm to 8 pm

Activity Tents

A marquee created to represent Canada offers a historical tour of each of the Canadian provinces and territories.

Five thematic marquees representing the major regions of Canada will offer activities for the whole family.

Inflatable games village

12 pm to 8 pm

Inflatable Village

Children and adults alike can have fun playing games in a colourful and safe environment.

Makeup Artists

1 pmp to 8 pm

Makeup Workshop

Kids of all ages can transform into superheroes, lions, monsters, pirates, butterflies, princesses or even cats with the stroke of a brush.
